We aim to provide a platform for Sustainability focus startups in the Middle East to showcase their technology and solutions and enable enterprises to contribute to sustainable development.

To enter the competition, you must fill out the online application form  for your startup before the application deadline of 8th April 2024

Any technology startup in sustainability sector operating in the respective country of the contest can apply. Applicants must have innovative, proven technologies, robust business models, the ability to demonstrate traction in their activities, and the potential to scale up. All entrants entering the competition on behalf of the startup must be registered residents in the respective country and aged 18 years and above.

Applications are open from 1st January 2024

During the application period, there is no limit to the number of startups that can apply, however, we request that no more than one application per startup is submitted.

We aim to be as inclusive as possible; in the sustainability sector, whether you’re a pure technology company or tech-enabled, tech-led, or tech-driven, we want to hear about your growth ambitions.

No specific stage as long as it is a tech- and sustainability-related startup

If you win the country challenge, you proceed to the finals, where you will compete against winners from other countries

Eligibility Criteria

Any startup is eligible to participate in the competition if it meets the following criteria:

  • Startup is registered in one of the eligible countries.
  • The startup’s product or service developed or under development by the startup has the potential to address categories that are based on the Seventeen (17) United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (“SDGs”).
  • The startup is based in one of these respective countries (Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates)
  • At least one startup founder is a legal resident of an eligible country, and at least 18 years of age at the time of entry into the competition.
  • The startup has developed or is in the process of developing a product or service based on a new or innovative technology tackling a sustainability challenge.
